We promote a healthy and nutritious diet at Milbourne Lodge. All menus are carefully designed with your child’s health constantly in mind and our Chef works with our School Council to create our menus. All meals at Milbourne Lodge are prepared on the premises by our appointed caterer – Thomas Franks. Lunches are all home-made every single day and selected to bring variety and a balanced diet. In addition they cover the main building blocks within our chosen food groups to contribute to a healthy diet. We always offer on the menu hot meals, salads, vegetarian selections, fresh and dried fruits and a healthy dessert option.
Pupils concentrate extremely hard both at work and at play and as a result their lunch times should be a pleasant break when we provide them with healthy nourishment for the body and mind. Children need a balanced breakfast and a hearty lunch to enable them to function effectively at whatever they are doing.
Our pupils have the opportunity to relax, enjoy their meal and take the opportunity to socialise. We are not adverse to underpinning our philosophy of good manners and thinking of others at this important point in our school day.
Our pupils enjoy the variety offered to them and we will always try to accommodate specific dietary requirements.
