Having had my own children educated at Milbourne Lodge, I have a deep understanding of what makes this school so special:

We’re delighted to share a summary of our most recent inspection by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), which took place in June 2025 under the new national inspection framework.
While schools are no longer graded in the same way, we were pleased to meet all required standards and to receive highly positive feedback across all aspects of school life, from the quality of our teaching and leadership, to the strength of our pastoral care and relationships within the community.

Last week our Year 5 learners welcomed Year 2 children into the main school for a magical introduction to an Art lesson. This year’s Art & IT theme is inspired by the imaginative worlds of J.K. Rowling and the Harry Potter series, and the creativity on display was fantastic. Together, the pupils produced some wonderful illustrations — take a look at their amazing work! 🎨✨

Our on Friday the Year 5s teamed up with Year 2s for a magical introduction to IT in the main school! 🪄💻
This year’s Art & IT projects are inspired by the world of J.K. Rowling and the Harry Potter stories. Pupils imagined themselves in a wizardry lesson, learning to code spells of their own! ⚡🧙♂️
Using Microbits, they designed Christmas decorations that lit up with creative LED patterns — and we’re thrilled to share that every single pupil completed the task successfully with the help of their Year 5 mentors. 🎄💡

On Friday, our Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 children enjoyed the cosiest afternoon of bedtime stories! 📚💫
Snuggled up in their pyjamas, wrapped in blankets, and holding their favourite cuddly toys, the children listened to stories read by some very special guest readers — teachers from the Prep School and a wonderful group of Senior School pupils. 🤍
With mugs of hot chocolate topped with marshmallows and plenty of chocolate biscuits to share, it was the perfect mix of comfort, imagination and community. ☕🍫✨
