Visit us
We hold Open Mornings termly which are a great opportunity to see our school in action and speak to our teaching staff, Senior Leadership Team and current pupils. Should the Open Morning dates be unsuitable, we are able to offer Personal tours. Contact us to book your visit.
Apply
When you're ready to take the next step, simply complete the registration and pay the £180 registration fee (our Admissions Manager will send full details). Then our Admissions Process can begin.
Assessment
Registered candidates are invited to come for assessment at the appropriate time.
In 2026–27 our Admission events will take place as follows:
- Milbourne Minis for 2027 Reception entry – 19 Nov 2026
- Taster Days for all other 2027 entry years – Please contact our Admissions Manager to arrange a mutually convenient date
Receive an offer
Reception offers are sent within two weeks of your child's Milbourne Minis. The offer acceptance deadline is three weeks from the date of the offer.
Offers for Years 1-8 entry are sent within one week of your child’s Taster Day. The offer acceptance deadline is three weeks from the date of the offer.
Confirm your acceptance of the place
To secure your child's place, simply complete and return the necessary paperwork by the deadline given, together with the £1000 Acceptance Deposit.
We will then keep in touch and invite you and your child to pre-joining events helping you to get to know us before joining Milbourne Lodge.

For Reception entry, we invite children who are registered, to visit the school and spend some time with the EYFS staff at our Milbourne Minis session. This assists us in making a decision as to whether we feel Milbourne Lodge might be a suitable learning environment for them.

For Year 1 and Year 2 entry, registered children are invited to attend a Taster Day during which they will join in lessons in the classroom and at games and be observed during the day.

Priority is given to siblings of children already at the school, although this does not guarantee the offer of a place.

A report from the child's current school or setting will be required before the offer of a place can be made.

Taster Days are held in the year before joining.

We aim to get to know each child as much as possible, to see if they will be happy and enjoy learning at our School. We do not expect them to know any more than they would normally encounter in their current Year 2 setting.

Taster days are an opportunity for each child to experience a usual school day at Milbourne Lodge joining lessons in the classroom and at games. They will complete some Maths and English work within the classroom environment and be observed during the day.
