At this most testing of times for millions of children and parents across the country, and the world, teachers at Milbourne Lodge remain wholeheartedly committed to delivering the best possible educational experience for your child.
The school has put in place robust systems for the delivery of online learning. Staff received training throughout the Easter Holiday so that they would be well equipped to tackle the challenges these circumstances bring. The school continues to deliver its usual high standard of education, albeit remotely, throughout this period.
As already communicated by Mrs Waite, we moved to Online Teaching and Learning from the start of the Summer Term. This includes online access to materials, portals for the submissions, marking and return of written work and access to video conferencing for class teaching and support.
Form Tutors in the Prep contacted families on Monday 20th April with child’s login details to Office 365 and their timetable and introductory sessions were held before the structured lessons commenced on the first day of term – Wednesday 22nd April.
In the Pre-Prep each class teachers facilitated an introductory session on Tuesday 21st April to welcome the children to online teaching and learning and outline our expectations.
Should you have any queries that relate to specific lesson content, assessments or class-related matters over the time ahead, you should contact your child’s teacher, via email, in the usual way.
For any queries you may have relating to our wider Online Teaching and Learning Programme, please contact Mrs Dicker in the Prep and Mrs Brooks in the Pre-Prep in the usual manner.
