Highly Commended Award in National Science Genetics Competition

Congratulations to Amelie in Year 4 who has been awarded a Highly Commended certificate for her entry in the University of Bath National Competition – Storytelling Science: The Letters of Life. The aim of this National competition was to encourage creativity in children. They were asked to make an illustrated story or poem on the theme of Genetics. All of our Year 4 children took part in the competition.

What the judges had to say: “Amelie did a marvellous job of illustrating her poem, making it fun and eye-catching. She also gives a lot of information about how DNA works, and can make some, but not all of who you are!”
