Global Be Well Day – 27th September 2019
Today we are joining 45,000 pupils and staff by taking part in the Cognita Global Be Well Day #GBWD. The timetable has been collapsed and we are spending the day thinking about mental health and wellbeing.
The mental health and wellbeing of young people is now one of the most pressing issues of our times. As governments around the world grapple with how to address it, we are holding a community day of activities designed to expand students’ and parents’ understanding of wellbeing. By totally focusing on wellbeing for the whole day we are highlighting the vital role it has in academic success.
Activities have been arranged across the school from ‘boxercise’ to ‘digital safety’ and the importance of sleep and healthy eating. Our staff are kicking the morning off with a 7.30am Boot Camp session and then the whole school is joining together for the BIG SING. Pre-Prep have brought their pyjamas into school and are going to think about what makes a good bedtime routine. In the Prep the children are going to explore the importance of sharing their concerns and how to talk openly without being judged.
