Intermediate Maths Challenge
The pupils in U6, M6, L6 and Form 4 Maths Set 1 all sat the UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge in February. The top 40% of entrants nationally come away with an award, but since this is a competition usually taken by pupils in Years 9, 10 and 11, for our pupils to get an award in this competition is exceptional.
Gold Award: Stephen Bannister, Oscar Owen (Joint Best in School), William Shi, Alex Taylor (Joint Best in School),
Silver Award: Ben Ankers, David Bishop, Rentaro Clarke, Rhys Gregory, Freddy Owen, Milan Patel, Harry Walker (Best in Year 7), Rosie Walker
Bronze Award: Tom Brocklebank, Boris Duke, Julian Duminy, Theo Groves, Alex Kastner, Phoenix Kim, Jack Le-Men, Maxwell Gladding, Shamir Shah, Jason Speirs, Hansei Tan, Marcus White, Lilian Ye
In addition the top 9500 candidates nationally get through to a follow-on round. We are delighted that Alex, Oscar, Stephen, William, Ben, Milan and Rentaro have got through to the Grey Kangaroo this year.
