Sport
Milbourne Lodge School has a long and proud tradition of sport, it offers a wide range of Sports to enjoy, with every pupil taking part in Games daily a fundamental part of the school ethos.
There is a busy timetable of sporting fixtures each term, (weather permitting), together with entry into County and National Tournaments, as well as inter-school competitions.
Football is played in the Autumn term, Rugby in the Easter term, and Cricket and Athletics in the Summer term. The School also has its own heated open-air swimming pool which is used throughout the summer months, and a hard surface tennis court which is used all year round.
Girls at Milbourne Lodge School participate in Rounders, Netball and Hockey, as well as Athletics and Swimming throughout the Summer.
The School is set in eight acres of grounds, with the added facility of hundreds of acres of adjoining woodland. During the Christmas and Easter terms the woodlands are used for cross-country running and group 'Ambushes' which are immensely popular.
Milbourne Lodge School is extremely proud of its many Sporting successes in the last few years and has seen several pupils going on to represent the School at both County and National level. This is also combined with an abundance of Milbourne Old Boys going onto represent their Public schools at 1st team level, with one or two talented individuals even being accepted into academies of Professional Sporting Clubs.
Tennis and judo are available as extra curricular sports.
