Prep

The Prep department covers Years 3-8. In the current academic year, Year 3 is comprised of one class whilst Year 4 is setted for English and Maths. In this year all pupils start to learn Latin. In Year 5 and above, the year group is streamed into two forms, the higher form learning Greek.

It is quite normal for pupils to change from one stream to another during Years 5 and 6.  Generally speaking, the teaching is geared to Scholarship work in the 'A' stream, while in the 'B' stream these last three years are spent preparing for Common Entrance.

The school day begins at 8.30am and finishes at either 3.30pm, 4.10pm, 4.20pm, 5.05pm or 5.50pm depending on the form and stream in which a boy or girl is studying.
