Religious Studies

The aim is to introduce the children to all the main Bible stories in their first three years at Milbourne Lodge. The pace is fast (there's a lot to cover!) and the methods are varied (to stimulate interest). It is hoped to bring the Bible alive and to teach its relevance to everyday life. It is certainly not a dull and dusty book! Assemblies help the reinforce the RS lessons and to nurture a respect for God and the Scriptures.

In the top two years the Common Entrance students have two lessons a week and the CE syllabus is worked through intensively. They are prepared for a short answer section, Old Testament questions and New Testament answers. Scholarship candidates are prepared for a variety of Biblical, ethical and general questions.
